Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) is a North American palm. Lamberts Saw Palmetto Complex contains the concentrated extract of the palm berries together with zinc and the antioxidant nutrients vitamin C, vitamin E and beta carotene. In virtually all the studies carried out on Saw Palmetto, it is a concentrated extract that has been used (at l6Omg extract twice daily), which is why Lamberts use an extract rather than just powdered berries that consist largely of fibre and sugars. The 160 mg extract in each Saw Palmetto Complex capsule is equal to 1 920mg of powdered berry, i.e. 12 times stronger than the material used by many other manufacturers.
